- Warzone’s Switch 2 debut is announced for November 6 with Season 1.
- Hajin and Zodiac are listed for launch; Verdansk and Rebirth Island are mid-season returns.
A new Call of Duty season can make one date sound like one giant download. Activision’s Warzone roadmap gives Switch 2 players a more useful way to plan: separate what is there on day one from what is still on the way.
Call of Duty’s November 2 roadmap says Warzone arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 when Season 1 begins at midnight Eastern on November 6 (9 PM Pacific on November 5). It calls Warzone free-to-play and says Season 1 fully integrates it with Modern Warfare 4. This is the publisher’s schedule and feature list; we have not tested the Switch 2 version.
Two maps are day-one. Two familiar names are not
The roadmap puts Hajin, a new Battle Royale map, and Zodiac, a new Resurgence map, in the launch lineup. Verdansk and Rebirth Island are marked for mid-season. If you are clearing space or lining up a squad for Friday, those labels matter: the returning maps are not listed as launch-day choices.
Activision also lists new gear, Elite Perks, modes and an updated progression system. The game is free-to-play, but the publisher also lists a Battle Pass and BlackCell as paid content. You do not need to buy Modern Warfare 4 to read this announcement as a free-to-play Warzone release; check the platform listing for the actual download and any regional conditions.

Check the date against your console
The specific Switch 2 news is a native version arriving with the season, rather than a claim about cloud streaming. The roadmap says the wider Season 1 update goes live across platforms at the same announced time. Store listings can still differ by region, so the local eShop is the useful final check for availability and download details.
Windows Central’s earlier preview also flags the existing Warzone version on Xbox One and PS4 as nearing its end around this handover. Its linked Activision support page could not be read during our check, so we are not assigning those consoles an exact cutoff hour here.
For the first session, the practical expectation is simple: Switch 2 gets the free-to-play game with Hajin and Zodiac on November 6; the two returning maps are later-season plans. A roadmap is useful for scheduling. It is not a performance review.
